Saw this on the washing outside, grabbed the camera stuck the Kenko's onto the 55/200 tried as hard as I could to keep the washing still, it was quite windy though. Took about 20 shots checked them out and this was best, went out again and the so and so had gone.




Stink bug or Shield Bug apparently, I'm 73 bit of a country boy and never seen one before.

With climate change, it could be some tropical thing blown all the way to your sceptered isle, explaining why you've never seen one before Smile . I think I'm joking.

I love the hammered copper look of the carapace. If you had cropped it only to those areas you could have posted it as a "What is this?" and we'd have all failed to guess.

It's certainly beautiful - but I'l bet it's destructive to plants. You did great to get this good an image, under trying circumstances.
