| September 1, 2009 @ 8:32am | Best wishes for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery from me as well. You are a bright spot and a positive outlook for all of us here. Be well.

Go ahead and play with the images. I would ask that when you post them on other sites (such as Flikr, Photobucket, etc.) that you credit my photography. I would do the same for you! Other than that, I'm E Z T D B W. |

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I'll be thinking of you at 11 am this morning. I'm putting your portrait up on my screen today!

| September 1, 2009 @ 8:48am | Wes, Usha said she'll read you all these responses of best wishes and prayers this morning. But you probably won't realize that you've so inspired some people that, altho up til now they've been lurkers here, you've inspired them to make their first posts to the forum!!!
That's quite a legacy, pal - so just know that all of us are sending you prayers and healing energies as the docs repair you. So we're all looking forward to a brand new Wes - just think - now you can start your next "childhood"!!!
Be well and know that we all love you, dear friend!

You were laughing because you knew right away I was one of Craig's new students. Oh how I miss seeing you! Sending big hugs and healing vibes your way. |

| September 1, 2009 @ 9:14am | Wes, you know how after open heart surgery they give you a firm pillow that you are supposed to hug tightly to your chest to help with the discomfort? Well, name that pillow of yours "TME", and picture it hugging back. I expect to see some creative macro shots of hospital food come out of this latest photo excursion!

Will write back when he is out of surgery. Maybe around 2PM Central time.

| September 1, 2009 @ 9:58am | To the TME community: Wes just called me from his room. He seems to be in chipper spirits and is buoyed by all the best wishes and prayers from all his friends plus those of members of this community. He said he's very touched and so grateful. I know he sure didn't expect this outpouring of support.
It's so wonderful that the hospital is allowing Usha to be in his room until they come to get him to prepare for the operation.
We all know that Wes will recover just fine and dandy. I told him has still has a long life ahead of him. He laughed.

| thank you! | September 1, 2009 @ 10:03am | Hey Everybody,
Got a chance to read some of your messages to Wes..... he doesn't have his computer at the hospital...he will have it after the surgery.... he is very grateful for the love you have shared here.
Wes sounds very strong and is laughing and joking as he gets ready to partner with his doctors to return his heart to 100%.
I want to send a personal thank you to all of you who make this a place filled with love and support. I also want to send a big thank you to Usha for all she is doing to be there for Wes..... Craig

| Best Wishes for a Speedy Recovery! | September 1, 2009 @ 10:14am | Hi Wes!
I really enjoyed meeting you and shooting with you this past week in San Francisco. I wish you all the best for a quick recovery. After this surgery I don't think I'll be able to keep up with you!
Looking forward to seeing you at a future workshop.

| Healing Thoughts and Prayeres | September 1, 2009 @ 10:56am | | Wes, my best wishes to you for a quick recovery. When I think of you, the visual picture is of you standing by road in Death Valley with your pants leg hiked up, thumb extended inviting a ride. What a smile and wonderful spirit you have. I know your spirit will see you through and we'll see that smile again soon. I'm sending positive energy your way this morning and holding you in my thoughts. Linda Harrison |

| September 1, 2009 @ 11:04am | Now while he is with the docs, let's all hold an image of Wes running out in front of the rest of us as we're trying to keep up with him. Craig may be able to, due to his long long legs. LOL.
It's a joyful scene and we're all laughing and calling out, "Hey, Wes, wait for us!" And he just laughs and keeps on running.
Remember, he's wearing a doo-rag, too. I think it's those things that are giving him the extra burst of speed, lol. Gotta go find mine!

Did you wear your do rag with the smiley faces into surgery? I know you brought a smile to all even if you didn't. Healing thoughts are streaming your way. Carolyn Johnson |

| Heeeere's Wes!! | September 1, 2009 @ 12:51pm | Just in case you need an image to keep in mind today, this is Wes on the first workshop he attended with us. It's on Jekyll Island in May of 2007. Craig was messing around with him one night after dinner on the deck of a favorite restaurant. How can you not love that smile!!!!!

Oh mannnnnn, that is harsh! But I know, from experience, that sometimes there's a really good reason for a delay in plans -- as if a guardian angel was shifting things around just a little bit for the better.
I wish I could sneak him some tequila, though...
