| Dream walking | November 28, 2008 @ 11:10pm | I was trying to capture the diffused light from the fog, but didn't quite succeed. I then added some blur. My goal was to create a mysterious dream like image.

C&C welcomed,
Phil

| November 29, 2008 @ 7:20am | Phil - this reminds me of a recurring dream I used to have. But my railroad tracks ran into an underground tunnel. I finally figured out the dream happened when I'd eaten something that gave me indigestion! I was in my own bowels, so to speak. After that insight, I didn't have the dream any longer, even tho I still get indigestion once in a while.
I like your image better than my dream image. It leaves me to wonder what's around the bend. I like the blurs.
How about going back to the scene and using a slow shutter speed, walk forwards during the exposure? This will give you a different kind of blur.

| November 29, 2008 @ 8:22am | | I think you got very close, Phil. Did you think of vignetting the corners just a little to give the feeling of walking into a mysterious place. Some times, the vignette can give great depth to an image like this. Totally your vision, of course. |

Flo and Wes both had good thoughts even so.

Wes, that is a great idea and I will give it a try.
Flo, I thought about the ghosting idea this morning. This is a spot that I return to over and over and have actually used that technique on the tracks in the past.

Phil
