I was trying to capture the diffused light from the fog, but didn't quite succeed. I then added some blur. My goal was to create a mysterious dream like image.

C&C welcomed,

Phil

Phil - this reminds me of a recurring dream I used to have. But my railroad tracks ran into an underground tunnel. I finally figured out the dream happened when I'd eaten something that gave me indigestion! I was in my own bowels, so to speak. After that insight, I didn't have the dream any longer, even tho I still get indigestion once in a while.

I like your image better than my dream image. It leaves me to wonder what's around the bend. I like the blurs.

How about going back to the scene and using a slow shutter speed, walk forwards during the exposure? This will give you a different kind of blur.

Flo

I think you got very close, Phil. Did you think of vignetting the corners just a little to give the feeling of walking into a mysterious place. Some times, the vignette can give great depth to an image like this. Totally your vision, of course.

Neat image, and you have done well with your concept.

Flo and Wes both had good thoughts even so.

Thanks to all for viewing and helping me with some ideas.

Wes, that is a great idea and I will give it a try.

Flo, I thought about the ghosting idea this morning. This is a spot that I return to over and over and have actually used that technique on the tracks in the past.

Regards,

Phil

Wes, thanks for the idea. It really adds another dimension to the dream quality and mystery of my image.

Phil
