Looks like the plant kingdom's version of a squid! Those tentacles look menacing - great capture, Michael.

If you take it to Adobe's Camera Raw, you can do a little split toning on it to introduce a tad of red. Just in the shadows, and leave the highlights alone. Then you'll have an image with green, blue and a hint of red. It may help give it more depth, too.

Go ahead and play with the images. I would ask that when you post them on other sites (such as Flikr, Photobucket, etc.) that you credit my photography. I would do the same for you! Other than that, I'm E Z T D B W.

Interesting image, with its folds and curlicues. To my eye, the bright green background detracts a bit from the subject. You could try Flo's suggestions, or perhaps just a small curves adjustment might tone that down and pop the subject.
