One day some time ago I was bored. So, having just finished dealing with some dishes, i decided to shoot them - creatively, that is.

These are very nice. Have you considered either coming in closer or cropping off the left side to make it even more abstract?

I like the first one. I also like JohnC's suggestion....the more abstract, the better....maybe that is why I like the first one better. It also has a zen like feel to it.

These are indeed very nice. I really like the first one. As Usha wrote, "It has a Zen like feel to it"

The softness in these shots is wonderful, Flo. Yeah, the crop idea could work well. Whether you crop or not, print them, frame them, and hang them in your kitchen!

Very nice! The softness and light make me feel nostalgic for family mornings (or evenings) and good times together. The tilts add a delightful touch of energy.

I'm also tempted to crop in a bit on the plates left and right -- not to abstract, but because those edges are so close to the frame it feels a bit "squeezed". Testing that crop, then I imagine what lies beyond...and it seems to breathe a bit more.

I would like to have these prints in my dining room.

Late again. Great shots! Love both of them and prefer the first one and its "zen style" (Usha). I also prefer it for "The tilts(that)add(s) a delightful touch of energy." (April). I do not see though the need of cropping. If you do, then consider the new pictures as added ones.

Why didn't you post those 2 on Sill Life thread? If you do some cropping post the 2 new pictures on Abstract. U'll have 4 pics for the price of 2. Wink

Number one is a quiet masterpiece Flo. How you've captured the very essence of the word, "still". And the word in all of its meanings. As I tick off the dictionary's choices, each additional explanation of the word brings me to another level of understanding of bot that concept and your image. The lighting, of course, dampens tensions so wonderfully, and the palette is the final touch. It's wonderful Flo. Thanks.
