Shot with a 24mm lens with the Opteka semi-fisheye macro attachment - don't know its power, tho. 6-10x, maybe.

Christmas spirit. Reflections of colored light on glass or plastic pieces? Anyway, interesting effect.

Thanks, Micheline. This is a close-up of a wreath made from clear golden colored plastic plus lots of glitter. To me, it represents the idea of all the colored lights we see at this season of the year.

Speaking of which, this afternoon and evening I'm going on a bus trip to Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, to see their Christmas and other holiday decorations. At dusk, they turn on all the thousands of lights. Lots of trees, bushes, buildings, balconies and pathways have been decorated with myriads of lights. Inside the buildings are poinsettias and other winter blooming plants. Larger Christmas trees in each large room are decorated "to the gills."

Outside is a spectacular light and fountain display - it's orchestrated on digital controls - the underwater lights of all colors flash on and off while the many water jets rise and fall in time to organ music. It's just awe inspiring.

But COLD!!! To get up to only 50F at the warmest. With winds 10-20 mph, which will drive the cold right through us. But once the sun drops low and disappears, unless the wind dies down, we'll feel like frozen icicles by the time we head back to the bus!

I bought a Gorilla Pod plus the ball head that's made for it, as they don't allow normal-sized tripods - and you can't shoot night images without a tripod, unless we content ourselves with blurs.

Thanks, Micheline. I got back about two hours ago. Had a wonderful time, as the wind did die down and so we felt much warmer than the temperature actually was. No wind at all after dark. I didn't get as many different shots as I'd hoped, tho, as we spent too much time watching the gorgeous fountain display with colored underwater lights. The light colors and the heights of the many water jets are programs to synchronize with the organ music.

i was very surprised when we got back to the college - Bucks County Community College, to find frost on my car's windshield and rear window!
