These have been a hit with the kids on my sons high school baseball team.

(1) My son. Not the sharpest shot, but I like his "game" face.

Nicely done, Eddie! You've captured all of the action very well.

Eddie, what a wonderful treat for your son and his team mates! You've really captured their "game" faces, too.

Did you use a long lens for these? I imagine you'd have to, unless they were posing for you.

I use a Nikon D300 with a 70-200 2.8 VR for most of my sport pics. If it is a bright day and if I'm trying to get shot of the outfielders I'll add a 1.7 TC.

These cards were all created in PSE 5. I used a background image that is a close-up of a bucket of practice balls. I change the color of the balls using the "Color Variation" tool. Then I just add a stock frame from the PSE program, add the photo, re-size it if necessary, and then start adding all the text elements. I found the font used for the "Bruins" for free by just searching the web. It's called "Marcelle Script" for the letters, and Marcelle Swashes" for the tails.

Any more question, just ask
Wink

Here is one of my better action shots...

OhEddie - These are great! What a terrific idea to do this for your son's team! I know they will treasure them forever. Excellent action shots -- and excellent graphic work in designing the cards.

Eddie, thanks so much for telling us in general how you formatted the cards. And I love the last action image! Talk about capturing the peak - the decisive moment - you did it! Bravo!
