Here are a couple of versions of one of those table top water jar units. I'm not sure if either one really works.

Interesting how the same subject can look so different. I like how the first version is lit. The colour combinations in both are really nice. The first I like the energy and movement. The second reminds me of Raku pottery. I think you did a good job on both but I especially like the second.

I really love the first one! The background looks like it's based on Wes's twirl recipe.

I like both of these but the first one is especially cool. The "Wes twirl" looks like an energy of some type coming out of the middle size pot.

Both pictures are very interesting for the reasons proposed by Bug.

What I like in both images is their "within unity". (Don't know if it makes sens in English)

In the first picture the unity comes from those marvellous warm colors -colors of fire. The impression to be in the furnace where they were glazed. Contrast and textures stand out against the background so well here.

In the second picture, the unity comes from texture that is similar in the background and foreground. The water jars reminds me, to a certain extent, the bas-reliefs we find in Ancient Art. An unfinished low-relief growing out of the stone. I love the combination of those tree color: yellow, red or rust and cyan-blue (turquoise). Colors of earth and water.

The lines "are playing" nicely with the background in both images.

Wib, your shot and post-processing are very much original. Bravo! Smile

To pick out just two of all I agree with. You are on a roll!

Thanks, again, folks for all your very helpful comments. I'm sure, like you, I appreciate the many helpful suggestions and find them to be a stimulus for further exploration often along lines I would not have otherwise thought of. Thank you for your kind support and I only hope I can reciprocate.

Wib, these are both excellent and since I got here late, all I can say has already been said - except I do like the 1st one a tad better than the 2nd.
