Carl Warner's foodscapes (an audio/video).

In case you have to be a subscriber to view, you can also see examples on his site. Follow the links through Stills to Foodscapes (green box).

Wow! His work is amazing. I wonder how long it takes to put one of these scenes together. One must have to really have a plan before you start building. As a kid I used to do little scenes similar to the one image he had on the plate, I think he said it was for a re-cycling champagne he had worked on.
I drove my mother absolutely wacky when I did it too. She wasn't a very good cook so I used to spend a lot of time sitting at the table trying to finish my meal. Mother believed that you sit until you finished eating everything on your plate.Roll Eyes To pass the time I would make little scenes and designs, nothing like the ones Carl Warner does that's for sure. Thank you April for these fascinating links, they brought back some funny memories for me.

Warner certainly has taken his food play to new heights - and depths, lol. A couple of years ago I read an article about him and his work in a photography magazine. Thanks for bringing him to our attention.

It's not just his food landscapes - check out his scenes made with nuts and bolts and other stuff.
