They left all their dreams behind to die in a useless war. Thanks, Marty - this is not pleasant - but maybe if enough images like these are shown around the world, people will wake up some day soon and realize that wars are senseless and wasteful, and heartbreaking for those left behind.

Wow, Flo.

I guess you and I were the only ones who were moved by these enough to post. I'm surprised.

If I can ever evoke this much emotion (happy or sad) with my images, I'll feel successful as a photographer.

Marty, I think others were moved, too. But lots of people don't like to express their sad emotions, so I think this is why you got so little response.

I was moved by the images, Marty but wasn't in the right mood to take the time to reply to your post. I also think that I do not like to feel the sadness that these images leave behind. The situation seems to be never ending.

Flo and Wes, I understand completely.

The lack of response was just a little surprising. Although sad indeed, I found it to be a fascinating and emotional photographic idea.

Marty,

Wes said it well.

Sometimes I don't like to think about all the sucky things in this world. Sometimes I don't want to take the time to respond to a post even if it means something to me.

I know the feeling when you take the time to post something and it goes over like a lead balloon.

Like right now I have to go and do some volunteer water testing and check a bunch of bluebird nests and the rain is coming this afternoon so I only have time to take a quick look at some posts and now I have to go. I appreciate all the posts here even if I don't respond.
