Not true wildlife, but this category comes closest, I guess. I took this series with a Canon 100-400mm at 400mm, so as not to distract them from their very important game. I post these for their humor, not as exemplars of photographic wonder. For one thing, these shots showed me that autofocus with that lens and my Canon 30D is not getting me a really sharp image. Grrr Angry

Cute, funny - perhaps they heard the shutter which made them look up.

If the lens doesn't have VR, then maybe you need a tripod for really sharp images.

Alas, Flo, I was using a tripod. That lens is a load to try to hold steady without one. When I remember to manually focus, things generally work out better. But at least this was only a shot of 2 calves, not my one and only chance to photograph an Ivory Billed Woodpecker.
