| Hummingbirds in motion | April 20, 2010 @ 7:00pm | A friend just sent this to me and I thought I would pass it on for those who might be intereste or who haven't seen it yet. I found it quite fascinating. Hope you do, too.

Sorry, but for some reason the entire address isn't active and must be copied into a browser address and then watched. Didn't realize it was going to be such a problem. Still, for anyone interested it can be seen.

| April 21, 2010 @ 7:52am | Ditto. In fact, I sent it to some of my photography friends - including you, Wes, as I'd forgotten that it was you who first posted it, lol.

| Borescopes | April 21, 2010 @ 8:01am | I wanted one - until I Googled them, lol. They are fiber optic miniature lenses, either flexible or rigid. Some come complete with a 1.3, or thereabouts, digital camera and even a small laptop! Prices ranged from $675 to over $15,000 USD!!!
SIGH! As Becky Miller once quipped, "Lens lust results in Lensbabies!"

| April 21, 2010 @ 8:43am | You are welcome, Charlene. Glad you enjoyed it as much as I did.
Flo, I knew that the camera set up was going to be expensive and out of my affordability range so didn't even look it up. I also think that these photographers had a lot more patience than I would have in order to get the wonderful pictures they got.

| April 21, 2010 @ 10:50pm | This little video made my day. Two years ago, I spent my entire vacation with pneumonia. It happened to be a family reunion at a remote location in the high Uintas of Northern Utah. While everyone else was enjoying their time, fishing, and taking in the scenery, I sat and photographed the hummingbirds...for hours and hours each day for the entire week. While I didn't have video, I did have a nice lens and lots of time. For my efforts, I was rewarded with several stunning captures and the experience of a lifetime. This video really made me appreciate more fully those pictures. Thanks Wes for sharing.
Janet

Go ahead and play with the images. I would ask that when you post them on other sites (such as Flikr, Photobucket, etc.) that you credit my photography. I would do the same for you! Other than that, I'm E Z T D B W. |

| April 22, 2010 @ 9:04am | So glad the video brought back moments of pleasure during your illness, Janet. I am just awestruck by the patience these photographers and you must have to achieve what you want. I only hope that it is not too late for me to develope more patience with my photography. Seems so hard for me.
