| Cave Door | May 2, 2010 @ 1:15pm | Dublin Gulch The hillside that the caves are carved out of is soft, grey, flaky volcanic ash. They where used as housing for miners and vagabonds from the early 1900's through the 1960's. Warm in the winter, cool in the summer, these hills housed many people famous in the history of Death Valley, including Shorty Harris and the Ashford brothers.
