I tried to make this look a little retro but may have made it too dark. Also trying to keep the point of interest in the center. B&W pictures are hard for me because there is little you can do in photoshop to fix bad composition and subject.
All comments are welcome. BTW These are my Grand Kids in SC.

Cute kids. But the area of greatest contrast hits the boy in the chest right above her hair - rather than in either of their eyes. And it's there that my eyes go first - it's compelling - and I have to pull my eyes away from that brightest/darkest area.

John, how about a figure-8 vignette? One part for his head, the other for hers - and it'll certainly be unique.
