| The Mitty | June 19, 2010 @ 3:31pm | All,
Last month, I attended the Mitty Historic auto races outside Atlanta. This time, I shot more in the paddock and a little less on the track. I wanted to capture some of the quiet moments and details from racing.
Below are the best paddock shots from that day. I would appreciate any constructive criticism you may have.
Cheers.
Chris

| June 20, 2010 @ 7:43am | In the first image, the subject is the gloves. To me they look "wilted, exhausted" - and so I imagine that it is after the race and their owner feels just like these gloves look!
The B&W image makes me think I'm going to be sucked up into that maw any minute! A big alien bug. So I'm very glad there are dark details in the dark background that help quell my fears.

| June 20, 2010 @ 1:45pm | Marty and Flow,
Thank you for the kind words.
Marty,
The B&W shot is the only one I converted so far. To me it really simplified the image to go B&W and darken the background.
Flo,
The glove shot was after a qualifying session so your imaged story was very close. Chris

I find the chairs and people in the back to be distracting. It can't go completely black unless there was a backlight to edge the car, though. I would also like to see it from a couple of inches to the left to be totally head-on to the car.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. I appreciate it.
I agree that I should have taken one directly head on. I will have to remember that next time.
Chris
