I was surprised to see just how well the River Doon was flowing today considering the lack of rain over the past few months. Also considering how the river Deught (spelling could be out) down at Carsphairn which takes diverted water from Loch Doon into the Water of Ken for the hydro electric is running very low indeed... then again fit do I know!

after resizing for this site, this looks a little over sharpened apologies I'll get the hang of it one day lol

Can there be an explosion of change in people that is powerful enough to shift events?

Love the glassy surface of the water. The sharpness looks just fine for me, Mook. There is great feeling of peace here.

Mook, this looks like a peaceful and beautiful area that I'd love to visit some day. I hope you get rain soon.

I think you may have 2 additional images in this one image. First, the top part - crop up from the bottom to eliminate the large lower boulder and reflections.

2nd: crop from the top down to just above the waterline, showing only the stream and its boulders.

Thanks for the comments folks!

Wes thanks the slight over sharpening is giving some of the tree-trunks a slight silvery look which doesn't show up so much on the host site.

Flo cheers both crops would work well! I don't normally include such a predominant foreground object in my shots, not sure why but I made a conscious effort to add it in this time. I'll figure out why one day.
