Finally OnlineJune 21, 2010 @ 11:17am
I have finally made it to the online world and started an "offical" web site offering prints for purchase.

I also decided to go even further and join the blogging community and started my own blog. Still very much fearful of publishing but ready to give it a try.

Web Site: http://www.davidpitcherphoto.com

Blog: http://blog.davidpitcherphoto.com

Cheers,
David

Great beginning for your images, David. I loved looking at them. The links did not lead me anywhere but I finally found the pictures. I have yet to find your blog but that could just be my ineptness on the web. I will continue to look.

Thanks for posting and congratulations for taking another step in your journey of photography.

Gee, Wes, I just clicked on the blog url and his blog loaded! Better feed your computer some vitamins! Grin

I'd never heard "Let there be light" in the Greek wording - which actually means to start, to make or to generate - light. And the Greek phrase is supposed to come from the Hebrew "yehiy 'or". "Or" is the root word that means "gold" in many languages. (Sorry, folks, but I do love language roots and origins.)

Anyway, David, congratulations on your new venture. OK, back to the webpage and blog - I'll be back when I've viewed the the photographic content, lol. Cheesy

Sorry Wes, I originally goofed up the link to the blog and I suspect that you may have tried before I realized and fixed the link.

Flo, I am glad that you noticed the blog title and interest in the Greek meaning/translation. Since I really like Greek mythology and methaphors I really wanted to come up with a meaning full and fun title and tie it back to photography.Smile

Cheers,
David

Your portfolio is glorious. Along with the images, content in other sections is fascinating to read. I'm so glad you're finally putting your work "out there" for others to appreciate and enjoy.

And, I'm really looking forward to following your blog! It's been frustrating to miss some of your new work, because there is so much to follow on TME. (Flo is superwoman in being able to keep up with everyone. Smile )

Cheers on the launch!Beer Mug Cheers!

April, Really appreciate the words of encouragement. I do plan on making it a priority to blog without fear. I don't know which scares me more, photographing strangers or public publishing/speaking.

Stephen, thanks for taking a look.

John, I like the idea of a "platform". Helps to re-enforce the that the concept is good.

Cheer,
David

Hi David,

Congratulations of making a platform for the display of your beautiful images. I most certainly will follow your site and blog as I've always enjoyed your photography and the way you process your images.

Congratulations to a great start of showing your work to the world!!
