Mallik, both of these are drop dead gorgeous! How sharp a depth of field you got, too. Amazing. Would you mind telling us what lens and/or macro attachments you used?

My fav is the first one, because I like to get the visual "big bang" of the whole fiery center. But the 2nd one is awesome, too.

Love how the center of the water lily seems to be radiating energy. The color combo is also great to look at.

Thanks Flo, glad that you liked them.
I used Canon 100f2.8 macro lens with XTi on tripod for these shots.

These are lovely. That 100mm macro is my favourite lens. I really like how the centre of the first one that seems to radiate heat.

The clarity of the little blue flower parts (pistles? Stamen? forgive me I was absent that week) on the second photo is outstanding.

For water lilys I never found a good place to put the tripod without taking a dip.

Mallik - Great images. I love the 2nd one. I had one of these in my backyard last summer and took a number of macros of it. That inner glow is truly astonishing.

Thank you very much. I got this lens recently and this was my first shoot wiht this macro lens. So far I used to do closeups with extension tubes.
