| June 25, 2010 @ 7:41am | Mallik, both of these are drop dead gorgeous! How sharp a depth of field you got, too. Amazing. Would you mind telling us what lens and/or macro attachments you used?
My fav is the first one, because I like to get the visual "big bang" of the whole fiery center. But the 2nd one is awesome, too.

Thanks Flo, glad that you liked them. I used Canon 100f2.8 macro lens with XTi on tripod for these shots. |

The clarity of the little blue flower parts (pistles? Stamen? forgive me I was absent that week) on the second photo is outstanding.
For water lilys I never found a good place to put the tripod without taking a dip.

Thank you very much. I got this lens recently and this was my first shoot wiht this macro lens. So far I used to do closeups with extension tubes. |
