I've loved this image of yours for a LONG time Craig. This image to me shows off you signature style, and I could easily tell that this is YOUR work. I had wondered about how you brought all these colors together in this image, and what you showed in this video is roughly what I had in mind. But to see it all together was really wonderful. It may all seem simple at the end, but IMO, the very idea of starting with a tungsten WB was extraordinary to begin with. Creating such an image when presented with bad weather is nothing but inspirational!

A terrific video for everyone!! Thanks so much Craig!!

Craig, these last two Digital Darkroom videos have been so helpful to me in crystalizing a workflow. So many people talk about workflow in so many ways and on so many levels that the word sort of lost its meaning for me. Thanks to your remarkable ability to articulate how and why you do what you do to an image, I feel much more confident in opening a image and beginning to explore its possibilities. The notion of layering to get more out of an image is so powerful to me and has made a huge change not only in the darkroom, but behind the camera as well. Same thing for color theory. Thanks so much for these videos and the Daily Critiques. You are a born teacher.

Hey Katie,

Thank you so much for your very kind words of support. As far as being a born teacher goes I do think I came here with a purpose to teach but I have to acknowledge that outside of my passion and desire to share and help others achieve their dreams the nuts and bolts of my teaching is an almost direct result of people in my life who were/ are amazing teachers and who were generous enough to share what they knew with me..... chief among them being my Grandmother (God rest her soul) and Neil Chaput who owns the Rocky Mountain School of Photography. Without what I learned from my Grandmother and Neil I don't think I would be here......Craig

Hi, Craig...

I always find useful info and concepts in your tutorials!
The color theory concepts and simplified Photoshop processing are HUGE and are things that can certainly help to make everyone's vision easier.
Thanks for another clear, concise tutorial...

Hi Craig, I can't thank you enough for this and all your inspirational videos. Your teaching is informative and easy to follow. I was starting to get locked into a set routine with my finishing work, but watching your videos has opened up a whole new style of workflow for me and that in turn has helped me move into a fresher approach to my overall photography.
I can only imagine what your hands on workshops would be like, they must be fantastic. One day I might pluck up courage to submit an image to your community.
Thanks again,
Ifotou
