This is beautiful - one of my first thoughts was - egg and yolk - the colors and the curves of the leaves. Water lilies are so pretty.

What a gorgeous lotus! We can see the pistils which will begin to swell within the pod in the center as soon as they are pollinated. I hope you can go back and record this same flower over time as it loses its petals and the seeds form.

Thank you, Flo. It will definitely be possible to get back to this lily pond farm, now that I know that it exists.

Magnifique, Wes. Gorgeous flower and great shot. Love the lace effect the water creates on the petals (the three white ones in the foreground + the edge of upper right petal). It rhymes with the pistil small divisions. Love it.

Thank you, Micheline. We were blessed before the shoot by a great rain storm which stopped just as we pulled into this lovely Lily Pond Park, thus, the rain drops on the petals. I think what drew me to the lily was the design of the stamens with the pistil.
