| July 11, 2010 @ 3:39pm | What a gorgeous lotus! We can see the pistils which will begin to swell within the pod in the center as soon as they are pollinated. I hope you can go back and record this same flower over time as it loses its petals and the seeds form.

| July 12, 2010 @ 1:25am | Magnifique, Wes. Gorgeous flower and great shot. Love the lace effect the water creates on the petals (the three white ones in the foreground + the edge of upper right petal). It rhymes with the pistil small divisions. Love it.

| July 12, 2010 @ 8:04am | Thank you, Micheline. We were blessed before the shoot by a great rain storm which stopped just as we pulled into this lovely Lily Pond Park, thus, the rain drops on the petals. I think what drew me to the lily was the design of the stamens with the pistil.
