Fascinating, the webs tree roots can weave. Do you know what kind of tree this is? From the horizontal markings on the roots and trunk, it might be a cherry.

On 2nd thought, this tree is also supporting a vine, which has roots that have co-mingled with the tree's roots.

I can feel myself getting tripped up and falling in these.

Because of the tangle and relief, but also enhanced by the angle.
