Recently purchase this succelent in the Texas Hill Country and could not help photographing the interesting little flower it is displaying.....

I shot this with a Olympus E-30 with 50mm lens and extension tube. Incidently, I don't know what the plant is called.

Love the reds against the green, Jeff. I also like the bluish gray stems that hold the flowers. I am assuming that this blossom will spread out a bit further as it matures, is that right. Succulent blooms are great fun to capture, for sure.

Beautiful capture of a beautiful little flower. I love the graceful curve. Maybe you can ask at the place where you bought it what it is.

Loving the colours in this. Just curious, how big are these flowers?

Love the subdued colors of the plant contrasting with the vivid red of the opening petals.

Bill, the little flowers are tiny, maybe 3/8". The string of flowers in the image are about 1-1/2" to 2"...

Thanks for the comments...
