I recently found these walking the alleyways of our neighborhood, which is a bit like traveling to a different city!

Boing! When I look at the first, I want to get on a pogo stick and have fun! I prefer the 1st due to its simplicity.

The busy background of the 2nd distracts my eye from the springs, which are what I want to see. But since you focused upon the background, I guess that's what you want us to pay attention to.

Way cool. I like your perspective.

Janet

Go ahead and play with the images. I would ask that when you post them on other sites (such as Flikr, Photobucket, etc.) that you credit my photography. I would do the same for you! Other than that, I'm E Z T D B W.

Thanks very much for your comments, Flo and Janet!

Re photo #2, I remember trying several points of focus and apertures for depth of field from shallow to deep. This version seemed closest to what first caught my eye: the springs drew me in, but it was the background I found most delightful.

However, my husband has the same reservations as Flo. Smile

Yea, I think I'm gonna have to side with your husband and Flo hereSmile Actually your version could still work if you darken the OOF springs in the foreground. Currently they are pretty bright and draw too much attention.

Oh well; it was one approach.Smile

Thanks again for your honest feedback. I did have to fight a bit with this capture of #2; that is a "clue" I can use as a take-away.

On to the next thing!

Haaa... how much roller coaster fun you bring to my eyes with the first shot! I can hardly stop following the lines and, who knows, maybe someone can actually hear a excited "wheeeheheeeee" coming from my room.Wink

cheers

Thank you, Roland. I'm glad you enjoyed that image!

(I didn't want to bump Sail Away up in the queue again, but thank you very much for your encouraging comments there as well.)

What a great find. I like them both but will have to go with the majority on this one, #1 is absolutely delightful. #2 I like the background, but find the springs in their current form some what distracting. I think if the springs were some what darker the overall would work better.
