From the same bathroom as the "toilet shot"...

I understand the photographic quality might not be excellent, but shooting in a bathroom of a Grand Hotel isn't really making me feel relaxed.Smile This was a shot of a scene with two mirrors facing, giving this well known effect of reflection tunnels.

I love the metaphorical quality of this scene...

As per suggestions from other places, I have removed that unidentified thing in the black rectangle of the second reflection.

Hi Roland,

Happy New Year!!

As with most of your images, I truly love this one. I love the way you framed it and the entire composition.

To me, it seems to reflect so many aspects of our lives where we repeat behaviors over and over, thinking we might get a different result. And, how often we all do this sort of thing.

I just may have to consider my camera into ornate restrooms in hotels from now on. Smile

Thank you for continuing to inspire all of us with your work.

Happy New Year!!

Reverberations galore! Following up on Marti's metaphor, we get the same lessons over and over again - until we wake up and "smell the toast burning" and start doing something about solving our predicaments.

Marti, remember the admonishment - always have your camera ready! LOL

I love the feeling of repetition, Roland.
To me, repetition is an integral part of life and keeps us moving along for many years, I hope. I refer to sleeping, waking up, eating and that kind of repetition. As Marti and Flo have also said, some repetitions not so great, if they are bad for us. Love the idea of having your camera with you wherever you go.
