| Nasbro Lime Kilns | January 3, 2009 @ 9:43am | The last fire was extinguised over 30 years ago. The 40 people who lived here and worked the quarries and toiled in the hot and dangerous lime kilns have long departed, leaving Nasbro a little known ghost town in Dodge County Wisconsin. About all the remains of this once thriving industry are these limestone kilns, standing sentinal against the winter winds, waiting their turn to succomb the the vagaries of time, never again to feel the warm heat in their bellies full of limestone.

| January 3, 2009 @ 10:23am | | Thanks Wes. With my photography I am now striving to tell a story. My stories are on the history/prehistory of Wisconsin (and elsewhere were my travels take me). I just hope these little tidbits on sometimes esoteric topics dont bore too many people, but I really believe the back story behind them really makes a difference. |

| January 3, 2009 @ 3:41pm | Hi Dan, I too like the historical shots you have been posting. I like that you take the time to give us the history with each photograph. I think back stories really do make a big difference too. I don’t think that I will ever get bored of your photographs and stories. Thank you Dan for the extra effort. Charlene
