Patti began taking pictures in college with a used Leica M3. She quickly became proficient in the darkroom and taught photography at a local craft center. As life moved on, photography took backstage to work and her darkroom was moved to the attic. Leaving a corporate job in computer programming, Patti started a software training company, Digital Training & Designs, an Adobe and Apple authorized training company based in Dallas, Texas. In addition to training and running the company, she wrote several books on Macromedia Dreamweaver and Fireworks.

When digital cameras emerged, she returned to her love of photography now using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom instead of the darkroom to “develop” her images. Her photographic interests are varied, but generally she seeks the beauty from the natural world, striving for simplicity and design in her photographs.
