| February 24, 2011 @ 5:13am | It is definitely an interesting take, Grahame. If it's honesty you're looking for, then personally, "maybe." The shot itself looks as though it would be great if I could see the water drop and splash for what they are.
I like that you changed it to a suggestion rather than a representation, but overall, I feel the shot may have lost too much detail and especially reflectivity in this presentation.
My question is, "what would I think about the image if I didn't know what it was?"
Artistically, I love it. It's just a little pixelated, and rough around the edges. But I think that's part of the artistic appeal. I must say, the image has held my interest for quite some time. There's enough mystery to make me want to explore.

PPY-definitely! "The very best you can hope for is ... I get over my need to be completely objective and instead take the time to create a photograph that makes you see, and feel, the scene the way I saw it." -David duChemin [ |

| February 24, 2011 @ 8:51am | I think we really don't need to know what this is/was. Its form and colors are so beautiful it will hold viewers' attention for quite a while.
Probably that edge pixelation is due to the compression into the small size and then enlarged.
