| Latest photoshoot | May 30, 2011 @ 11:38am | One of the things I am interested in is to shoot lifestyle portraits for people and senior portraits. Yesterday I got to shoot Gabrielle. She is in 8th grade and was a ton of fun. I had a goal to improve my workflow to make it sustainable for me.
I met Gabrielle and her grandmother for the first time, hot for 2 hours, processed for 4 hours nd finished the projects. I am happy with it.
Any comments/suggestions (brutally honest are OK) would be most appreciate.

These are fabulous! I don't know how long you have been doing life style but based on these frames - you are a natural. Gabrielle seems so relaxed and did a fantastic job modeling for you.
Well done! -bill

| May 30, 2011 @ 1:13pm | Usha, I ditto everything Bill said! (typed )
These are super and I'm sure that Gabrielle and her Gram are very very pleased! Gabrielle is a natural and you brought out that naturalness - it's obvious she was feeling very comfortable with you and your camera.
You have just started a new and successful career!

| May 30, 2011 @ 9:39pm | Usha: I absolutely love #3. If Gabrielle were my daughter, I would buy a large print of #3 and smaller prints of #5, #6, and #10. Her eyes look too vacant to me in #1 and #2. I like #10 as a lifestyle shot, and I like the concept in #9, but her jump just looks a little awkward (color and focus are great, maybe she's leaning too far back?? I don't know for sure). In a lot of the other shots, because Gabrielle's eyes seem to be short and wide, it's hard to throw enough light into them. I'd like to see a little more light in her eyes (in #4, #7, #8, #11, and #12.) That's nit-picking; overall they're great lifestyle shots in my opinion.
Hope that helps.
Peter

I just looked at the whole gallery, and I like #24 a lot as well.
