I wish something were in focus but it could work in a soft way like this too. The think closest to sharp is the hair near the face which is also the highest contrast area. Really pulls me there. If you're going in the soft direction, I'd like to see those areas softened too perhaps.

Now there's a shock. That sure changes everything. All that color would sure be fun to play with and gives the image a completely new story. The softness will become secondary if the color is the story. I'd work with it some if i were you.
