| Scott from Grand Teton's Workshop | December 16, 2009 @ 12:01am | In this week’s Photo of the Week on the Daily Critique Craig looks at a beautiful landscape photograph and discusses the following: - choosing the most effective f-stop for your landscape photograph - dynamic image design - creating an alternative version of the image that draws more attention to the light - working with curves in Abobe Photoshop CS4 to mange local contrast in a variety of areas of the image

| December 16, 2009 @ 8:24am | I hate to be the first person to comment, but this was a fantastic image for Craig to work on and a fantastic finish to the image. Great capture, Scott. I love the way the details continue to be brought out in the mountain range and how minor changes in the luminosity of the mid-region and darker barn help direct the eye into the important subjects of the image, the beam and the barn. The use of several curves adjustment layers and local changes to the image is a fantastic tool to consider in so many situations. Just a wonderful image and critique. Thank you both for a great start of the day.

| Scott from Grand Teton's Workshop | December 16, 2009 @ 2:17pm | Thank you Scott for sharing such a wonderful image. I want to be there. Well done.
Craig, thank you for a great presentation. I like how you told us what you were going to do, showed us how to do it and gave us the reasons why. I like what you did to the photo. You added a lot of pop. You use curves well and they do have a place. I am working on getting to your Seattle weekend. If it is an thing like this critique, it is a “MUST". Thanks again. Barry
